Perfect little quiet shop for both board and card game players. Selection was great, the employee on duty was super friendly and welcoming while my friend and I had time to sink before our flight (thanks Jill!), and they had plenty of events going on in their calendar.
Spellbound is the sum of several stately, yet distinctly different, parts. First and foremost, it’s owner-operator, Geo. Not only is Geo a genuinely uplifting gentleman, he also has a passion for professionalism.
Was there for a heavy boardgame meetup. The owner allows for people to play here without charging a cover, which if you ask me is insane!!! I would like it if he at least had a tip jar for me to show appreciation!! I've never played modern board games and this was a nice friendly introduction.
Truly love this place. The employees are snarky in a hilarious way yet very warm and welcoming. The people who show up are friendly and chatty, which I truly enjoy. The space is comfortable to play from any level of skill. My favorite part? The employees/owners are honest. These days that's hard to come by.
