Finally! We have a game store in Damariscotta! Forrest is very open to taking suggestions about what we as a local gaming community want. He just opened in July and is already hosting several events most Wednesdays through Sundays.
I've waited so long for a shop like this to open close to home. Great selection for just starting out and they are pretty busy all the time. Shop owner knows his stuff. My first time there and we had a great conversation about Magic The Gathering and Pokemon TCG. I hope they do well and would love to see them grow.
Mythical Market is a lovely store with a nice atmosphere, run by good people. They have a nice selection of products, run fun events, and are always open to new ideas from customers. I've been there for a handful of MtG nights since their recent opening, and I hope to attend many, many more.
We attended a Board Game Night to learn and play a game with four people of various levels of gaming experience. We had a great time! Forest and other staff are very generous with their patience and really went above and beyond to help us understand the game, sitting in on the entire 4 hour play through.
