As an out-of-towner, I cannot say whether or not The Game Store - formerly The Gaming Goat - represents what your Friendly Local Gaming Store experience is in the Chicago area. If it isn't, though, it should be. The aura of this place is palpable: it's friendly, more so than many game stores I've visited.
I’ve always wanted to go to a game shop and I never got the chance to but year later I came and got some magic booster packs as my first cards ever and I was fascinated by the environment. They are great and professional and love the environment.
I can be a very indecisive and stressful buyer of product, and it annoys most other shops and clerks I buy from. Gaming Goat Tinley guys are very helpful and respectful, they don't rush me, and their owner knows how to organize buys and trades for me easily when I overthink everything going on around me.
Been coming to this store for over a year now and it is my favorite store for cards in the area. They always have an amazing selection of board games and tcg products. I always walk out of the gaming goat in Tinley with a smile on my face!
