Tempest Games LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA

While visiting the area we went to the little bookstore in the same strip and realized we still had some time to kill after they closed. We almost didn’t go into Tempest because the outside is a little rundown and the windows are tinted so we couldn’t see inside.

I have never had a bad experience here. I am always welcomed when I arrive and the support from the owner is excellent. I have shopped other places in CR and Iowa City and Coralville but none have offered the selection or atmosphere of Tempest. The knowledge and selection keep me coming back.

If you're a tabletop gamer, this is a pretty solid place to go to. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and show a passion for the many games, figures, cards, and other stuff present. I went in on a Friday and it was packed with gamers setting up tables.

Friendly local game store with a great selection of board games as well as all of your rpg needs. They host various game nights throughout the week. Online retailers might be lower priced but it's worth the minimally higher price to support a local business with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
