While in St. Pete I had to check out the local card shops downtown. To my surprise — found just one. Ryeno Cards! Really enjoyed my visit to Ryeno Cards! Small place but nice selection of cards. Singles, some wax, and lots of Rays for the locals. The best part of the stop was Ryan (the owner). Great guy.
I have been to this shop a couple times now, and I love it. The owner is very pleasant and hospitable, and they offer a variety of tcg, but as a pokemon collector, all the prices are really good compared to other sellers, with a lot of product. They also have a couple extra rooms of loose cards you can purchase.
We were visiting Florida with my two boys (7 and 10) and stopped into Ryeno Cards, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Ryan was incredible with the kids he let them rip packs in the store, took time to look through cards with them, and made them feel genuinely welcome.
My son is 9 and we found Ryeno while looking for a birthday present for one of his friends. When we went into the store, we were impressed by the selection of cards. The owner, Ryan, took the time to explain to us the different sets and how collecting worked.
