POPnGAMES in Whitestone, NY

POPnGAMES is a solid game store that’s continued to improve over time. While the selection initially felt a bit more limited than what I personally look for, I can absolutely see how it would appeal to a lot of other players.

This is a hidden gem in a good area of Queens. The fact that this place is so local amazes me. They were originally a few blocks from their current location now but for them to be in business for at least more than a decade now they must be doing something good.

I called up a million stores in NYC that were taking retro games to take my copy of “Clayfighter: Sculptor’s Cut for N64” and every one of them were telling me they couldn’t take it because of many incidents in the past with people trying to sell fake copies.

Quite smaller than expected but I had no problem finding what I wanted out of the store. I enjoy the vibe of the place and the people, employees and customers alike are friendly.
