On my first visit to any town, as a lifetime comic/game store lover, I HAVE to visit all of the local shops and get a feel for what's going on. Comic Shops are one of the few last bastions of retail that hasn't been completely homogenized, and as such, when I walk into to one I never quite know for sure what I'm going…
Aside from the selection, atmosphere, welcoming vibe (funny to say, but it's rare in the comic world), the best part of my first experience was how much individual help and attention they provided. I came in looking for a gift for my art student niece.
I love going in here. I usually meander in once in a while if I'm waiting for car repairs in town, or something like that. there are plenty of current and classic comics available, as well as merch. best part is local indie comics, including one person I went to school with, it's cool to see! the space is nice too.
I loved this store. It had a great election of manga but what was really special were the hand made Pokémon packs they were selling along with the official packs. They were cards made from their loose Pokemon cards. What made them special was that they had a full evolution of 3 cards.
