JNJ Comic Books and Games in Thornton, CO

This place is awesome and let me tell you why. I went in to buy some Marvel cards but alas, this business had them not. Now what I believe to be the owner literally took 20 minutes and helped me with a list of places to look at that has cards. That right there. Humans helping humans.

Of all the comic stores in the Denver metro area, this is the only one that is a true “Mom and Pop” shop. “JNJ” stands for Jamie and James. Jamie, the friendly Mom, runs the shop, greeting new customers and taking care of her regulars.

I first visited on their grand opening on March 17th 2018. The store is split almost into two sections with the front half being tabletop/board games (and some DnD/graphic novels) with the back half having new comics on the wall, bundled comics on shelves, and 6 or so long boxes of 1$ back issues.

Cool place, they have game nights too! The owners are super cool people! James, one of the owners, DM'd a 1e D&D game for a friend of mine while I and another friend was in town, it was tons of fun.
