First State Coins in Dover, DE

I’ve been going to First State Coin to sell old jewelry that belonged to now passed away family & every time I go I’m always appreciative of the staff for taking their time to be thorough of everything I brought in. They’re very kind, professional & knowledgeable.

I took in a gold $5 proof coin. I calculated the melt value for that day to be 377. They gave me 356, which is amazing.! Quantity connect to the pawn shop I've been lucky to get 100. I don't imagine they always pay the high for gold scrap, perhaps they made their money on our transaction from the numismatic value.

My family and family and myself have been buying, selling, and trading at this business for years. I can honestly say that they provide the best, most welcoming customers service of any business in the area. They are professionals here and have always given me a fare price for my goods.

Friendly service and they have a wide variety of items to browse through. There's a huge selection of older silver coins and the one guy could probably tell you anything you might want to know about any piece that you ask about. Very knowledgeable and they give fair pricing when looking to sell.
