Critical Hit Games in Iowa City, IA

Super cool store. Drove in from out of town pick up a couple dice sets and some Dungeons & Dragons game played pieces. The dude behind the counter was pretty cool, answered all my typical Noob questions. All in all pretty cool store. There were people playing games while we shopped, not a bother.

Amazing place for all table gamers! Great selection of board games and the prices are very reasonable. The owner is super nice and knowledgeable on all games! They host card tournaments weekly too; the patrons are very friendly and welcoming as well. Would give 6 stars if I could!!

I recently moved away from Iowa City, and Critical Hit Games is one of the places I miss the most. Pre-release events for Magic the Gathering and Commander nights here were always really friendly events--I couldn't have asked for a better place to come to as I learned more about the game.

We are here regularly for a gaming meetup and the staff is great, very helpful. It's a welcoming environment with no pressure to buy. They have nice tables and an excellent selection of board and tabletop games, dice, etc. plus some arcade games.
