Comic World & Games in Dubuque, IA

Comic world is my go-to for any tabletop board game, or any if my D&D needs. Ben the owner is the prime example of what makes a locally owned business great, and why supporting them matters. When I go in I'm recognized, and I'm greeted with a friendly smile and hello.

Massive selection of comic books. Rows and rows of new and older comics. Large boxes of Pokémon to thumb through, and some select cards on or under the counter. The atmosphere is open and clean and seems like a community feel overall.

43 year old tabletop gamer/miniature painter/30+ years of experience here. This is the best gaming store I've seen in Iowa for a really long time. In many ways, the best compared to many I've seen in other states/larger cities. It often has the 80s and 90s nostalgic feel to it.

Me and my husband love checking out board game businesses when we travel to find a new game to play together. While their board game selection isn't beyond extensive, they had a great selection, it was a clean environment and was even busy! The owner really seemed to love what he did and did it with excellence.
